Dec 28 2023  Course Conditions & Changes
Following a grooming and ski test this morning (Thursday Dec 28), the race organizing committee has decided to alter the 4km and 5km courses to provide the best snow conditions for all athletes.
As with many areas of the province, we’re dealing with a below-average snowpack and as a result our classic tracks along the bottom half of the courses may be softer/thinner than usual, and our team is still assessing whether we should use the cat or ginzu for race grooming on Friday night. For reference, we’ve got an icy base that has mostly held up quite well with a few cm of new snow on top, temperatures this morning were around 0C at the lodge, and we’re not expecting new snow before race day.
New 4km and 5km course maps are available on our website – RACE MAPS 

All other distances remain the same.
We’ve also uploaded a stadium map for your reference, if there are any questions about where to set up your tent, please just ask!

Greetings Athletes, Coaches and Parents,

We’re looking forward to seeing you here in Revelstoke on Saturday, Dec 30th 2023.

Race parking is limited and teams will need to use the free shuttle service offered on Race Day.
There will be limited first come, first served parking prioritized for coaches and wax teams.

Pre-ski

  1. The race courses will be marked and open for inspection by noon on Friday December 29th. The course will close to all skiers 15 minutes prior to the start of racing.
  2. Families visiting are welcome to ski but require day passes to be purchased. The pass for a racer is included in race fee.
  3. Please stay current with the local forecast and highway conditions.  Plan your travel accordingly.

Race Day

  1. Bib pickup will be available at the groomer shed between 8:00 and 10:30 on Saturday
  2. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the venue. Race parking is limited to those with designated passes. There is a drop off loop near the lodge, and our facility is likely to be busy with non-race visitors enjoying our trails and accessing the backcountry. We are offering a FREE shuttle for all race participants.
  3. Race maps are available on the club website –RACE MAPS  (Updated Dec 28 4km & 5km courses)
  4. No wax testing allowed on the course during the competition. Wax testing areas will be accessed via the upper stadium trail.
  5. Awards will be presented throughout the day, and specific times will be announced and posted on the coaches WhatsApp chat.

Parking & Shuttle:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

We strongly recommend that race participants and families take the shuttle bus. There will be limited parking at the venue. Parking on the Highway 23s is not permitted, and there is no other parking close to the venue.

We are providing a FREE robust shuttle service for the one day race.  There will be limited first come, first served parking. **Please do not get on the RMR Ski Hill Resort shuttle in error.**

Shuttle Pick-up Location: Ed’s Gas Club, 753 Nakusp Mica Creek Hwy, Revelstoke, BC V0E 2S0
Shuttle Schedule:  8am to 4pm (continuous loop from Ed’s Gas to RNSC)
