Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club is in search of volunteer and/or paid coaches for youth and adult programming. Prospective coaches should be confident skiers, ideally in both techniques, but are not required to have prior coaching experience. RNSC will fund training courses taken during the upcoming season, and provide opportunities for further training. 

Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club is a community non profit organization dedicated to fostering sport for life within the winter nordic sport disciplines. We host a number of volunteer and paid programs for various community members ad groups, partnering with other organizations such as the Revelstoke After School Society and School District 19.

Prospective coaches should be willing to commit to a full season where possible, to provide continuity for participants, especially with youth programs. For coaches interested in lower commitment options, let us know - often coaches will share groups throughout the winter, or come to other agreements amongst coaches for class sharing. 

Requirements

  • Competent cross country skier in both disciplines, Skate and Classic
  • Criminal Record Vulnerable sectors check
  • NCCP coaching licence (Free signup)
  • online NCCP coaching courses (approx 6hrs of online class time)
  • On-snow community coaching course (Opportunities will be available November/ December 2025)

Paid opportunities

  • Ski S’kool (Grade 4) 9-11AM three days a week Jan-Feb
  • Ski after School (Grade 4-7) 2:30-4PM three days a week Jan-Feb
  • High School groups (Grade 8-10) Mornings, variable throughout the winter
  • Lesson Series (Adult) flexible scheduling
  • Private and group lessons (Adult) Flexible Scheduling

  • Bunnies (Age 5-6) Saturday Mornings 10:30-11:30 Jan-March
  • Jackrabbits (age 7-10) Saturday mornings 9:45-12 Dec-March
  • Trail Blazers (age 11-13) Saturday Mornings 9:45-12 Dec-March
  • Track Attack (Age 11-13) Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday
  • Junior Development team coaching
  • Masters (Adults) Flexible scheduling
