We will keep biathlon set up after practice as well so if kids are keen to stay late, they can do biathlon after as well!

Predator & Prey:

Cards will be at Jackrabbit Flats in a bag. hand out ~75% producer; ~20% herbivore; 10% carnivore; 5% decomposer

Carnivore - can tag herbivore

Herbivores- can tag producers

Producers - can only be tagged

Decomposers - can tag anyone

If you tag someone, they give you their tag and you keep it on your opposite wrist.

If you get tagged you can go back and get a new tag to get back in the game until the tags are gone

11:45-12 Stickers and Hot Chocolate

If any kids missed getting their toque, there are more in a box in the wax room! There are also more coach hats in a marked box in the cubbies - dont forget to grab one if you havent already!

Other tasks for this week:

Write your Report Cards!

I’ve linked the template here so you know what’s on them, (Can also be found on the main coaches corner page for reference) and will have them printed out for you to fill in over the next week. They will be in folders in the top right cubby downstairs. Let me know if you have any questions or want any help with them! Please complete and bring them Saturday March 7 to hand out to your groups!

Mini Olympics:

  • Please sign up to help out at the mini Olympics if you haven’t already! It’s great if coaches can help with running stations, and we can send parents with the groups. If you’d prefer to ski with one of the teams though, that totally works too!

  • Kids are allowed to invite guests to the mini olympics! This is a great way to show kids who haven’t been involved in the program before how much fun it is to try to help recruit participants for next year!

Mac and Cheese Fundraiser:

Stick around after practice this Saturday for our Mac and Cheese fundraiser for RNSC athletes attending Nationals! $5 for a bowl of Mac and Cheese and some veggie sticks.  We will have square/tap available for purchases over $10.  Please come and support the athletes heading to Nationals next week in Quebec.

Big thanks for your support from Mathis, Matteo, Regan, Emilie, Sam, Ember, Fiona, and Hamish!

Public Biathlon Demo:

We will keep biathlon set up after the kids programming for a couple of hours. Come try it out yourselves, or let friends know if they want to come check it out!

Kids Spring Break Camp:

This year we are running a couple of kids camps through Spring break! Encourage kids to register if they are around town for the week! The age range is 8-12, but if they are competent skiers (as most in the programming are) we can expand it to include 7 year olds.
