Our day lodge is open to 9PM daily. You can access our washrooms, sit by the fire, and enjoy a cup of tea (by donation). There are gear cubbies downstairs, and a couple of outdoor waxforms for public use.
There is also another rustic cabin on our trail system called the Ole Sandberg Hut. It is typically unheated, but there is a woodstove with wood available.

We don’t sell any gear at the lodge, but there are a few great options in town to purchase what you need!

Wear layers! Cross country skiing is a cardiovascular sport, so you’ll likely work up a sweat. Avoid cotton clothing, and be ready to adjust your layers. And bring a backpack with water, snacks, and emergency equipment.
-
Glide waxing skis is the same process as used with downhill skis or snowboards and should be done a couple of times per season, depending on how much you ski.
Most recreational classic skis do not require grip wax and will instead have a textured surface in the middle of the ski base to provide grip.
If you aren’t sure what you need to do, come chat with us at the day lodge and we will be happy to help you!

Our trails are located on the side of Mount Macpherson, so expect some hills! Check our trail map for information on trail difficulty, but there are green trails. If you are looking for some flatter trails, check out the Illecillewaet Greenbelt Society trails on the river flats in town.

You betcha! We have many experienced instructors to choose from, and we offer private lessons as well as group lesson series.

Yes but dogs are allowed only on our designated dog loop. Dogs must be kept on leash in the parking lot and stadium areas.
Please ensure you are familiar with our dog policy before you visit! You can find it here

The Mickey Olsen Loop and Evelyn’s Choice are lit for night skiing. You can find the lit trails highlighted on our trail map.

Our trails will be groomed whenever there is enough snow. Keep an eye on the webcams and check the grooming report.
Trails are typically groomed until the end of March, but will often be partially maintained if there is snow through April.
